UMW Blogs

"Opt-in" system where current students, faculty, or staff who have a working umw.edu email account can sign up for a personal blog and be up and running instantly.

INB
Banner "INB"

System for use by faculty and staff cleared to manage the most sensitive data and information at the University. LIke Self-Service, Banner "INB" is accessed through a Web browser. However, it requires being issued a separate set of authentication credentials to enhance system security.

eVA
eVA

For those at the University who purchase goods and services as part of their jobs, the Virginia purchasing system, eVa, can be accessed online.

Netstorage
Netstorage

Students, faculty, and staff at UMW each have access to shared drives and personal directories within the University's networked servers (NOTE: Netstorage uses the older Novell passwords).

 

 


READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LOGGING INTO EAGLENET

EAGLENET USER NAME

When you visit https://eaglenet.umw.edu, you will see the following prompt:

Eaglenet Authentication Window

Your EagleNet User Name is your University-provided NetID. If you do not already know your NetID, click here.

EAGLENET PASSWORD

Students

Students will need to use their new Active Directory password to login to the new EagleNet portal. That means initially using a temporary password, constructed for each student as follows:

Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number* + 2 digit designation of your birth month (e.g., April = 04)
* Note: If you have no Social Security number in our systems
use the Last 4 digits of your Banner ID + 99.
Your banner ID is printed on your eagleone card (it's also found next to your name in Banner).

Your temporary password is based on personal information, so you will want to change it wherever it is used. See below for password changes.

STUDENT PASSWORD CHANGES

  1. Login to the new EagleNet portal using your UMW Net ID and temporary password (above).
  2. You can change your Active Directory password in EagleNet. To Do So:
    • Click on the "University Resources" tab, and select "Technology Support".

    • At the "Technology Support" page, you will see a password change panel in the upper right-hand side of the page. Type in your old password, and type in your new password twice. That's it!

Faculty and Staff password changes

Most faculty and staff changed their temporary password when we switched to Outlook and Active Directory on their university computers this past summer. For further changes to faculty/staff passwords, you have the following options:

Method 1: EagleNet: login to the new EagleNet portal using your UMW Net ID and Windows password.

  1. Login to the new EagleNet portal using your UMW Net ID and temporary password (above).
  2. You can change your Active Directory password in EagleNet. To Do So:
    • Click on the "University Resources" tab, and select "Technology Support".

    • At the "Technology Support" page, you will see a password change panel in the upper right-hand side of the page. Type in your old password, and type in your new password twice. That's it!

Method 2 (Windows Users Only): When Logging into your Windows PC, click the "Change Password" link in the Windows login panel to change it there. Note: You may press CTRL-ALT-DELETE to have this Dialog Box pop up if you're already logged in to your machine.

Method 3 (PC, Mac, and Linux Users): Login to webmail at https://exchange.umw.edu/owa and click OPTIONS on the upper right. From there, click "Change Password" on the lower left and, follow these instructions to change your password.

IMPORTANT! Protect your password. Be very careful to logout from EAGLENET and make sure to close your browser when you are done.
